As a contemporary artist, printmaker and graphic designer, I have a diverse practice. I operate a studio and press in Lismore, called Ms. Browns Lounge and offer graphic and web design services, book binding, screen-printing and workshops in design, professional practice and promotion. I work out of and manage the Lismore Art Space, which hosts a variety of artists, creative events, workshops and very soon, access to a printmaking studio. My personal practice continues to document an ongoing journey. The work reflects a search for identity and belonging from a multicultural perspective, one that crosses generations and encompasses the diasporic experience. The work illustrates this complex heritage through a multi disciplinary practice and it explores the combination of materials and processes as a reference to the hybrid identity. Imagery often features wallpaper patterns and domestic decoration to refer to markers of memory, narratives of cultural identity and belonging.
