Arts on the Streets
We are seeking to fund visual artists who are undertaking projects delivering art to outdoor, or prominent indoor public spaces. These art pieces should be a form of social commentary, communication and inspiration, between the artist and the general public. The art must be made available at no financial cost to the general public.

Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship
Each year the Brett Whiteley Studio, administered by the Art Gallery of NSW, invites applications for a major travelling art scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a talented young artist with an established body of work, who is best able to demonstrate the use and benefit of the scholarship to further his/her art education in Europe.

Coorabell Public School's Fab 50s Fete and Art Auction
The annual Coorabell Public School Fab 50's Fete and Art Auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we put all of our energy behind it. We are inviting local artists to submit their work for sale at our event, and in return they will receive 50% of the auction price. We have a seasoned PR and Marketing team getting as much publicity for the event and artists as is possible and a professional auctioneer for the main event, to be held on Saturday June 16 (tbc).

Coppelia Auditions
Dancers wanted for October season of 'Coppelia' at the Byron Bay Theater. Dale Hutson will be coming from Sydney to audition dancers for his new contemporary piece. Casting starts May 6 2012 from 2pm. More auditions will be held early June.

Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award
Entry is open to all artists who are residents of Australia to submit up to two drawings. The award promotes innovation and excellence in Australian drawing and is worth $30 000. The major award of $15,000 is acquisitive, along with further acquisitions to the value of $15,000. Acquisitions from the Jacaranda Drawing Award (JADA) enter the Grafton Regional Gallery's nationally recognised collection of Australian contemporary drawing.

Macquarie Photography Prize, 2012
The 2012 Macquarie Photography Prize has $10,000 prizemoney and is open to anyone from any country. Featuring three categories for pure photos with subjects Storms, Architecture and Funny Faces and also a section for altered photos called Arthouse. There are three public exhibitions of the selected 25 photographs planned for Sydney, Dubbo and Orange in Australia.

Objects that Remember
Objects that Remember is an innovative online exhibition and interactive workshop project to help celebrate International Museums Day 2012. This is an opportunity for everybody in the community to exhibit objects in their personal or community collections from times of conflict. Objects may include photographs, memorabilia, medals, domestic items, trench art, and letters. Anything with a connection to times of conflict from anywhere in the world.

Playing Australia
This program provides funding support to assist the touring of performing arts across state and territory boundaries, where it is otherwise not commercially viable and there is a demonstrated public demand. Regional and remote touring is a priority and may include the touring of regional productions across borders.

Realise Your Dream is a unique opportunity for people working within the first 10 years of their career, in any creative industry from visual art to publishing, film to fashion, design to digital media, music, theater ect. Reconciliation Week Competition
The Byron Shire Youth Council is inviting young people aged 5 to 25 to write a story, draw a picture or design a poster to reflect the themes of Reconciliation Week. These stories will be made into a booklet and the art works will be exhibited in Reconciliation Week 2012. This competition is open to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous entries.

Sculpture in the Gaol Competion
This is a great opportunity for sculptors to exhibit a piece of work in the unique Trial Bay Gaol, which offers artists a range of stunning and diverse settings. The major prize is $2,500 and there is also a People's Choice prize. Trial Bay Gaol is an archaeological site thus all entries must be free standing as no ground works will be undertaken.

Seafarers Art Prize
Artists are invited to produce works that explore the relationship between humanity and the sea in the Mission to Seafares 10th annual art prize. The awards include a $15,000 first prize, $5,000 Emerging Artist Award, $5,000 Best in Traditional Maritime Art Award and $2,000 People's Choice Award. Works must be original by the artist, produced within the past two years, and not previously entered into this art prize.

The Seed - Management Workshop
The Seed's Management Workshop is a one-stop shop for practical strategies to manage music artists in the establishment phase of their career. Now in it's seventh year, the program has hosted some of Australia's leading emerging managers, providing a platform for strategic advice and ways to enhance opportunities for bands and solo artists forging pathways in the music industry.

The Seed - Publicise It
The Seed recognises that publicists play an increasingly important role in the promotion of emerging artists and we are therefore seeking to fund managers (including self-managed artists) to contract a publicist for a promotional campaign up to the value of $5,000. The campaign must be in support of a new Australian release (EP or Album only) or a campaign involving an Australian release and associated tour.

Tin Sheds' Curate/Innovate Grants
Tin Sheds Gallery at the University of NSW is pleased to announce the Curate/Innovate Grant, to help encourage curatorial practice in Australia. Successful applicants receive $4000 and a four week exhibition at Tin Sheds. We encourage applications that seek to build affinities beyond the gallery through public programs, lectures, discussions, concerts, outdoor events. Unlimited UK Festival of the World
Unlimited UK will subsidise a group of Australians to travel to London in September to attend the Festival of the World, part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. This international arts and disability gathering will showcase Unlimited, the largest program of work by artists with disability ever commissioned. Whilst in London, participants will also be able to attend a range of panel discussions, meetings and workshops.

Wilson Visual Arts Award
Established in 2012 the Wilson Visual Arts Award is a vehicle to showcase the talents of artists for their achievements in all fields of the visual arts. This award is a $10,000 art prize open to all Australian artists. The Katka Adams People's Choice Award is $1,500. The subsequent exhibition of selected finalists will be held from August 23-25 at Trinity Catholic College, Lismore, northern NSW. Entries open April 16 2012.
