The Australian Cultural Policy Discussion Paper focuses on four key goals, as central to the development of a 10-year vision for how arts and creativity will be supported and developed in a national framework.
The big question is, are these really reflective of the industry's needs and desires, and our key priorities for the next decade?
Artists, arts workers, teachers, creative industries practitioners, and anyone with an interest in Australia's cultural future, are invited to join Sally Basser, First Assistant Secretary, Office for the Arts, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, at Lismore City Hall at 11.30am Thursday 13 October to have your say and join in this important discussion.
Make sure you take the time to read the Discussion Paper first, available to download from http://culture.arts.gov.au/discussion-paper. It's a light read at only 23 pages.
And please rsvp to boxoffice@norpa.org.au by COB Monday 10 October, so they have an idea of numbers.
Public submissions in response to the Discussion Paper are being collected now, until Friday October 21. It's a simple process that you can complete online, via email or by responding to an online survey, at the address above.
