Meet Digby Moran
“Water is a big part of all Bundjalung Dreaming, I have always been a saltwater man.”
Albert (Digby) Moran is a Bundjalung artist who grew up on Cabbage Tree Island in the Richmond River, living off and roaming the waterways since his childhood. His father was Dungutti and his mother Bundjalung.
In recent years Digby has revisited a recurring diamond motif in his work that is said to represent the natural pattern in the tidal flats of the beaches and estuaries as the tide changes.
At the market Digby will be selling greeting cards, head socks, small paintings and prints, didgeridoos and clapping sticks.
