Artist Residencies Available From NORPA in 2021
NORPA is offering two $15,000 residencies in 2021 to support independent artists from across the Northern Rivers region to begin the process of creating, researching and developing new performance works.
“Through these two funded residencies, we aim to provide supported development opportunities that enable artists to create work that animates place, speaks to our region and shares its stories,” says Julian Louis, NORPA’s Artistic Director and CEO.
“We are looking for projects that share NORPA’s passion for new, bold and ambitious works, that play with form and challenge the conventions of theatre.”
NORPA’s new Executive Producer Jenna Mathie says, “Applications are welcome from artists across the Northern Rivers region and we encourage projects that demonstrate partnerships or support from other arts organisations, community organisations or venues. NORPA believes in work that is connected to our place and its people, taking inspiration from the country and community around us.”
Each residency will be provided with up to $15,000 in cash, and in-kind production and venue support should successful applicants wish to work in Lismore City Hall.
