Create NSW Arts and Cultural Funding Recipients

Create NSW has announced 97 recipients will share in $5.045 million funding through Round 1 of the 2020/21 Arts and Cultural Funding Program. Congratulations to the local recipients including:

In Hearts Wake Pty Ltd To Record, Mix and Master In Hearts Wake EP ($17,750) – In Hearts Wake will record, mix and master a new EP comprising of seven songs, five new works and two previously released reimagined songs in an unplugged style. The band will record in Bangalow, NSW and their trusted producer of six years will mix and master the songs in Michigan.

Sprung!! Integrated Dance Theatre disability arts programs – Growing quality and programs ($100,000) • Sprung!!, the leading NFP provider of dance and physical theatre training in NSW for people with disability, aims to expand its programs and reach from 2021 by employing key staff with a mandate to steer the future direction and quality of Sprung!!’s innovative program delivery and grow our capacity.

Clarence Valley Council Capturing the Magic of the Clarence – Gallery Opening 2021 ($36,700) • 2021 sees GRG renewed with a brand-new building and rejuvenated space and is ready to reinforce its position as a cultural destination for NSW. The opening 16 program will ignite new relationships with creativity through exhibitions by local and nationally recognised artists and celebrations involving supporters, community, and artists.

Minister for the Arts, Don Harwin, said the funding will support projects that are key to the State’s cultural life and contribute to a thriving and connected arts and cultural sector, with nearly %60 of funded activity occurring in Western Sydney and Regional NSW.

“This funding will support programs and projects estimated to employ over 6,000 artists and reach more than 1.4 million people across the State. We know the people of NSW want to return to theatres, galleries and festivals and to show their support for the sector after such a challenging year.”
