Event | NAVA Best Practice for Artists

Event | NAVA Best Practice for Artists

Arts Northern Rivers & Lismore Regional Gallery present a conversation with NAVA’s Executive Director, Esther Anatolitis.

NAVA’s vision is that Artistic Courage ignites Australian Culture.

NAVA work hard to achieve recognition and respect for artists – for their practice, for their work and for their rights. They do this because the voice of the artist offers Australia a deep perspective on the past, a vital perspective on today, and a compelling perspective on the future. NAVA believe that the contemporary arts offer rigorous, ethical and valuable approaches to rethinking our personal, social, environmental and political priorities. Artists who are valued and respected can sustain the ambitious, adventurous careers that create Australian culture.

On Friday, 9 November, Executive Director, Esther Anatolitis will host a conversation with artists at the Lismore Regional Gallery to explain what this vision means and looks like for artists and NAVA members.

The conversation will cover NAVA’s work in best practice, advocacy and building the capacity and courage of artists in Australia with time for Q&A.
