Lismore Regional Gallery Announces Their New Curator

Lismore City Council and Lismore Regional Gallery have announced the appointment of Ineke Dane as Curator at Lismore Regional Gallery.
Ineke is an award-winning curator with national and international experience. Her multidisciplinary practice is thought-provoking, conceptually rigorous, and grounded in contemporary art theory, law, and policy. Ineke is interested in how creativity can be a conduit to new ways of understanding the human condition and entangling with the world around us.Ineke spent her childhood in the Northern Rivers region and has since lived and worked in cities across Australia and Europe. She recently co-curated a major new commission for Mona Foma in Hobart with Mona’s senior curatorial team and preeminent Nigerian artist Emeka Ogboh.

She has previously held curatorial roles with Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, UAP | Urban Art Projects, and Kaldor Public Art Projects. She has also curated numerous independent exhibitions in regional galleries and is currently on the Board of Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts in Townsville.
