The Micro Grants funding opportunity has assisted Mandy Nolan & Ellen Briggs in the creation of The Serious Business of Being Funny, an online workshop for Northern Rivers Comedians.
Mandy Nolan and Ellen Briggs have collectively almost 45 years in the business. The Serious Business of Being Funny is an online course which will run for 4 hours covering topics such as:
- The Importance of Branding
- How to stand out in the “crowd”
- Marketing – social media vs hard copy – how to use social media effectively
- How to market yourself and your show to venues
- How to involve community in your shows and help with marketing (using your show to fundraise in a community)
- Working in an online environment
