NRCG Presents Change MAKERS

NRCG Presents Change MAKERS

Northern Rivers Community Gallery (NRCG) presents Change MAKERS: a FREE 8-week art and activism mentoring program that explores the power of art to create change. Applications are now open for ten young people to be professionally mentored by artist and educator Cara MacLeod and videographer and photographer Eden Crawford-Harriman.

The Northern Rivers has a strong history of activism, social justice art-making, journalism and film-making. This project continues this tradition, harnessing the skills and expertise of experienced artists and filmmakers, to foster the next generation of environmentalists and social justice advocates. Change MAKERS offers a unique opportunity for young people to participate in a hands-on, skills based creative arts program to empower, inspire and create change!

The artist mentors will work with participants to help take their ideas from concept to completion, and realise the full potential of their creative projects. Change MAKERS will help young people tell their stories, amplify their voice in the community and achieve impact with artistic projects.

Change MAKERS is a free program open to ten young people living in the Northern Rivers. Applications are now open to register for the program and will close on Friday 11 October. The 8-week program starts 22 October and will run from 5-7pm every Thursday until the 10 December at Ignite Studios, 60 Crane Street, Ballina. Register here.

Proudly funded and supported by the Country Arts Support Program. Applications are now open and close on the 29th of September.
