Creative Koori Projects
Arts and Cultural Funding Program

Creative Koori Projects funding is exclusively available for Aboriginal artists, arts and cultural workers, groups and organisations. Aiming to support a strong, resilient and exciting Aboriginal arts and cultural sector for NSW, there are two rounds to this funding.

Calling for Indigenous Writers
Yellow Water Development Lab

Applications are now open for early-career and regionally-based Indigenous writers to apply to be part of a development lab in the Northern Territory as part of its third Regional Script Lab X initiative.

Deakin University Bursary For Artlands 2021

Deakin University is offering one Artlands 2021 conference attendee the opportunity to receive a 50% bursary, to the value of $7100, in order to enrol in its Graduate Certificate of Business (Arts and Cultural Management).

Joining the Rappville Creative Recovery Project will be a photography exhibition. The photography exhibition will be curated from images submitted by Rappville residents and printed to be showcased as part of the community day on Saturday October 30.

Ocean Shores Art Expo
OSAE

Entries are now open for the 2021 Ocean Shores Art Expo! Online event and in-person exhibition at the Ocean Shores Country Club 9-10th of October. Professional artists to beginners, kids to elderly, all are welcome to enter artworks. Entries close 1st September 2021.

Paddington Art Prize

The Paddington Art Prize is a $30,000 National acquisitive prize, awarded annually for a painting inspired by the Australian landscape. The prize encourages the interpretation of the landscape as a significant contemporary genre, its long tradition in Australian painting as a key contributor to our national ethos.

BAM Art Prize
Byron Arts Magazine

The BAM Art Prize is designed to promote awareness of the arts in the Northern Rivers. It is open to all artists, regardless of location. In addition to the $5000 prize, the winning artist will be featured on the cover of BAM alongside all shortlisted artworks are featured in the magazine, followed by an 8-week finalist exhibition.

Koori Mail Indigenous Art Award
Koori Mail

This new art prize for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists encourages entries from established, mid-career and emerging Indigenous artists from across the country working in any medium. It is a non-acquisitive award that is free to enter.

2021 Lloyd Rees Memorial Youth Art Awards
Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios

This Art Award is a national prize established in 1981 to promote and support talented young emerging artists, initiated in honour of its long term resident Dr Lloyd Rees. Applications are open to 18-29 year old artists.

Nextwave Short Film Competition

The 2021 Nextwave Competition is now open for entries! Presented by the Screenwave International Film Festival is host to Australia’s largest regional youth short film competition and is free to enter for young people aged between 10 – 25 years, living outside a metro area.

The 67th Blake Art Prize
Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre

Since 1951, The Blake Prize engages artists with ideas of spirituality and religion. The Blake Art Prize attracts entries from artists looking for exposure for their work, the opportunity to be hung in the exhibition, and to compete for various prizes including the $35,000 main prize.
