Your Big Idea Selection Panel Announced
Arts Northern Rivers has announced the selection panel for Your Big Idea 2020 as they open the final call for applications. With the deadline now extended to Wednesday the 21st of October, the project is seeking ambitious ideas ready to be developed into contemporary arts projects.
Arts Northern Rivers is excited to announce the selection panel who bring a wealth of contemporary arts knowledge to the project including; Emily Sullivan, Curator, Kaldor Art Projects, Virginia Hyam, Head of Programming at HOTA [Home of the Arts] and Sebastian Goldspink, Independent Curator.
Peter Wood, Arts Northern Rivers Executive Director, said:
“Arts Northern Rivers is extremely impressed with this year’s panel members and the encouragement they will bring to our region’s big thinkers. We’re looking forward to hearing the shortlisted applicants pitch their boundary pushing concepts to these renowned industry experts.”
The winning idea will receive $5,000 seed funding in addition to a tailored project development package; a unique opportunity to work closely with Arts Northern Rivers to leverage further funding opportunities and gain access to industry networks. Arts Northern Rivers welcomes proposals from the cutting edge of visual arts and experimentation, performance, theatre, live art, music, sound, screen, dance and interdisciplinary contemporary arts practice.
The panellists will select a winner at the Your Big Night event to be held in November after five shortlisted applicants have pitched their big ideas.
Applications close at 11:59pm on Wednesday the 21st of October.
