Pop in the the Northern Rivers Creative Pop Up throughout Arts in August as there is an awesome program of workshops run by the creatives; from badge making to grant writing to soft sculpture inventions to how to package your brand – like a mixed bag of lollies there is something for everyone! Some are book in workshops where there will be limed places and the others are pop in – just turn up and get creative!

[ pop in ] Paper Diamonds with Joanna Kambourian
Paper isn’t just a 2D medium, it has a beautiful potential to become 3D installation and sculpture! Simple geometric shapes made from cardboard, hanging suspended, form patterns that slowly change and shift with the movement of the air. Just drop in and hang out in our pop up space to decorate & make your own with the artist or take a diamond pack home and make it at your leisure!

Join Jesse Mackintosh for a badge making workshop. Jesse is a local artist with 10 years experience making badges for bands, environmental and political groups, as well his own artistic designs. You will have a chance to draw and collage, or bring images from home to make your own badge.

Kate Olivieri has 10+ years’ experience in successful grants, both as applicant and as a member of the judging panel. Kate is co-director of Inclusive Arts with her partner Adam Rijks, a small business offering creative experiences and grant writing support for artists with and without disability. Kate’s experience has been gained in the Australian Government and tertiary sectors.

[ book in ] Packaging Your Brand with Ms. Browns Lounge
This short course introduces how to begin creating a brand identity for your creative business. Learn how to apply basic branding strategies to help your work stand out and reach a wider and more targeted audience. The 3 hour workshop will introduce key concepts in planning, developing and maintaining a marketable identity and will provide practical steps to apply these strategies to your own creative business.

Learn basic soft toy design and construction techniques during a morning workshop with soft toy designer and maker, Margeaux Davis from Willowynn.
