Northern Rivers Creative Roadshow

In 2013 Arts Northern Rivers took Northern Rivers Creative offline and on the road!

The adventure began with two Pop Up shops showcasing the work of over 25 Northern Rivers creatives including Musicians, Designers, Fashion Designers, Jewellers, Printmakers, Visual Artists and Furniture designers.

The first moved into the old library building in Byron Bay during the Easter holiday period and then headed down to The Rocks in Sydney where it popped up in a heritage listed terrace opposite the Museum of Contemporary for a five week stint in partnership with The Rocks Pop Up initiative.

The initial pop up shops were so successful at enhancing the exposure of the Northern Rivers Creative brand Arts Northern Rivers’ partnered with our seven local councils to create a Northern Rivers Creative Roadshow.

Over the next three years the Northern Rivers Creative Roadshow will roll out as a series of high street pop ups’ in each of the seven LGAs and will be hauling a brilliant program of bespoke professional development workshops, industry networking dos and filling the empty spaces with local creatives’ wares.

Arts Northern Rivers is committed to building the Northern Rivers Creative brand to create greater traction amongst local, state, interstate and ultimately international markets for local makers.
