2017 NCEIA Dolphin Music Awards

The North Coast Entertainment Industry Association (NCEIA) will be holding the 2017 NCEIA Dolphin Music Awards 24 October at the Ballina RSL Club.

Strengthening the region’s music community has been one of the aims of this membership based association for the past 26 years.  Consistently, the NCEIA Dolphin Awards have encouraged unsigned, original local musicians to work on presenting their music for consideration and to use the process of entering the awards as providing a key stepping stone for their career development.

By getting behind local talent in this way NCEIA has unearthed several local musicians who have successfully benefited from the exposure either by way of performance or recording gigs. Local radio supports the entrants and winners and the Awards also offer live performance opportunities to members and select winners. This year Matty Rogers, who won Song of the Year and the Male Vocal Award in 2016, will be performing as well as Hannah Parrington  who won the Pop category in 2016 with the song ‘Permanent’ and the Youth category in 2015 with the song ‘Bones’.

NCEIA is a self funded association that receives roughly 200 entrants to their Awards and over 300 attendees each year. The annual NCEIA Dolphin Music Awards night is live streamed to the world via the web, streamed live to local radio as well as being recorded for use by the performing musicians and NCEIA into the future.

Entries Close on Friday 8 September (you can enter multiple categories) with the NCEIA Dolphin Music Awards being presented at Ballina RSL Club on Tuesday, 24 October 2017.
