Bundjalung Dreaming

Bundjalung Dreaming

The Board and staff of Arts Northern Rivers are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most significant Bundjalung artists and cultural Elders of our region.

We extend our deepest sympathies to his partner Kerry and family at this very sad time.

He was and will remain a much loved and respected member of the Bundjalung artist community. His work and legacy will always be a part of the rich visual arts landscape of our region. His passion and generosity will be fondly remembered, in particular his support and commitment to young people and emerging artists.

Arts Northern Rivers worked with Uncle on many exhibitions and projects and we are honoured to have had the opportunity to share his work with audiences across the region and beyond. He was always keen to share his knowledge, stories and wisdom and we will hold this close and let it guide us as we continue our work with Indigenous artists.

With the permission of his family we wish to advise that a number of the artist’s works will be on display at the Lismore Regional Gallery along with a condolence book for visitors to pass on messages of support and sympathy to all of his family.

Vale Uncle – you will always be remembered with much love and respect.
