Our 2024 Horizons Mentees
The Horizons program is all about supporting the next generation of creatives through an 18 month mentorship program with established, practicing artists based in regional NSW.
Today we celebrate the 5 successful mentees from the Northern Rivers, who are set to begin their mentorship over the next few months. Congratulations, we are so excited to see you bloom.
Aria J Kitchener is a dedicated, creative artist with a demonstrated track record in art commissions, multimedia projects, and animation with a passion for social justice and storytelling.
Ella Bowen was the stage manager of the Shearwater school’s WAVE production for 3 years. She was also stage manager for the “Cheeky Cabaret” show at Splendour, the Brunswick Picture House and co-worked in stage (dance ground) management for the Kinship Festival in Murwillumbah.
Mally Luka Ryall is an artist with a practice that involves painting and drawing and sometimes includes printmaking and other media, focusing primarily on myths and folktales.
Visual Artist, Tywana Caldwell’s work is inspired by surroundings, family, homelands and feeling, “my art is my way of story telling and brings my connection to culture and country alive.”
Young mixed media artist, Ruby Sellers, has a preference for textiles and a passion for wearable garments. Unique colour combinations and silhouettes created with construction on a professional level.
