Art on Bundjalung Artists Announced

Arts Northern Rivers, Museums & Galleries of NSW, and NAVA have expressed strong concern over Southern Cross University's decision to close its Bachelor of Arts and related creative degrees. This move threatens not only the region’s rich cultural legacy but also broader national and global trends in the decline of arts education.

Bulaan Dalang Galii Naa supports emerging First Nations creative practitioners. The inaugural cohort held their first group show on Arakwal Country at Lone Goat Gallery.

A questionnaire developed by Arts Northern Rivers in consultation with the Northern Rivers creative community, this questionnaire was created and distributed to coincide with the 2024 Local Elections across the 7 LGAs in the Northern Rivers Region, NSW.

Arts Northern Rivers and Elevator ARI collaborated with Performance Space (Gadigal Land, Sydney) to support and profile experimental performance practices in the Northern Rivers. This initiative featured a discussion with Kate Britton (Artistic Director, Performance Space) and Jane Fuller (Executive Director, Arts Northern Rivers) and a workshop led by internationally celebrated artist and storyteller, Justin Talplacido Shoulder, alongside a series of artist studio visits.

Horizons, the creative industry career development program has announced the fifteen mentors who will be working across all art forms with 75 young people across regional NSW.
